New News Labs: The Rise of University Entrepreneurial News Startups

News entrepreneurship courses are cropping up in journalism programs around the country to teach students how to launch news ideas. At the same time,  more and more journalism programs  are launching their own news startups to cover their communities, state capitals, or public issues on a day-to-day basis. These news websites are both entrepreneurial and reporting labs – quite different from  blogs that house student assignments for a particular class.  Come hear about the different models and how they operate.
